Role Overview
As an Associate Data Engineer at Gartner, you’ll be an integral part of the People Analytics team. Your responsibilities will center on developing and implementing data strategies that enhance infrastructure, streamline reporting, and generate meaningful business insights to support data-driven decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify ways to automate recurring data tasks and transition reports to self-service analytics platforms.
- Participate in testing and deploying updates to data pipelines and dashboards.
- Partner with IT teams to develop a robust, user-friendly HR data warehouse with critical metrics like Quality of Hire and team productivity.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve data issues through efficient troubleshooting.
- Handle administrative and reporting tasks within People Analytics systems.
- Provide analytical support for key initiatives aimed at improving workforce performance.
- Contribute to various team projects, enhancements, and day-to-day data tasks.
- Prepare and deliver impactful reports and insights that support strategic decisions.
- Meet organizational data and reporting requirements across departments.
Skills & Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience in analytics, data engineering, or automation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline
- Keen interest in HR analytics, business intelligence, or consulting
- Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI (experience with Visier is a bonus)
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, ETL processes, and data transformation tools
