Job Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated Network Engineer to join our team, playing a key role in testing Comcast’s IP and transport networks for the Converged Regional Area Network (CRAN). You will be involved in certifying hardware, configurations, and new services before they go live on our production network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical support and guidance for real-time operations of CRAN and commercial network devices.
- Execute and improve existing test procedures.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering to maintain a stable and efficient testing environment.
- Test and validate hardware, configurations, and features before deployment to production networks.
- Provide Tier 5 support for complex network issues and simulate scenarios to identify resolutions.
- Ensure system updates and fixes are tested and completed before release.
- Partner with vendors for evaluations of new hardware and feature rollouts.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all testing activities and results.
- Communicate status updates and project progress to relevant teams.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, especially in high-impact scenarios.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime when needed.
