Job Responsibilities:
As an Associate Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting key objectives related to performance engineering.
- Participating in performance testing activities aligned with Agile workflows.
- Creating, maintaining, and optimizing performance test scripts.
- Defining and analyzing performance metrics to monitor system behavior.
- Establishing benchmarks and assessing performance trends accordingly.
- Designing and executing various performance, scalability, and stress tests using both standard tools and custom solutions.
- Collaborating with development and support teams for bottleneck detection and performance tuning.
- Conducting benchmarking in production and testing environments to ensure simulation accuracy.
- Building tools to measure and simulate key performance indicators.
- Understanding how software architecture impacts application performance.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to improve overall system efficiency.
- Providing detailed reports of test outcomes compared to planned benchmarks and schedules.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience in software development or performance engineering.
- Practical exposure to performance engineering concepts (not limited to performance testing).
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM development environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of source control systems and issue tracking tools.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
